Keep track of anything.

Books, restaurants, concerts, trips, the plants on your windowsill. Make a type for what you care about, give it the properties you want, and link its records from your entries.

How it works
01

Start from a template

Concerts, Films, Theater, Travels, Workouts and Courses come ready to use — and you can change every one.

02

Or build your own

Name a type, pick an icon, add properties. A reading list takes a minute.

03

Real properties

Text, number, date, date range, rating, location, select, multi-select and token.

04

Records and entries

Each type has a page with its records, and an Entries view of everything you wrote about them.

Who it's for
Readers keeping a book list with ratings and notes
Food lovers logging the restaurants worth going back to
Concert-goers, film watchers and theatre fans
Anyone whose spreadsheet of things deserves a journal around it

Templates, not fixed trackers

Earlier versions of Lite Journal had a fixed set of trackers. They're now starter templates: Concerts with venue and rating, Travels with location and dates, Films, Theater, Workouts, Courses. Rename them, add or remove properties, or ignore them and make your own types.

Properties that fit the thing

A book wants an author and a rating; a trip wants a place and a date range. Pick from text, number, date, date range, rating (one to five stars), location (country and region), select and multi-select for fixed choices, and token — tag-like values that belong to that one property, like genres for a book. Options are edited one per line in the type's settings.

Your journal around your records

Records come alive through the entries that link to them. Open a type's Entries view to read everything you wrote about any of its records, in date order — every concert night, every chapter that stuck.
