What we collect
To create an account we collect your email address. When you use the app we store the journal entries, tags, people, and experience data you create. We collect basic analytics (page views, feature usage) but never the content of your entries.
How we protect it
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Journal entries are protected by row-level security (RLS) policies in our Postgres database — a query by one user cannot access another user's data, even if that query runs under a compromised session.
What we don't do
We do not sell your data. We do not use your writing to train machine learning models. We do not show advertisements. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service (e.g., our hosting provider).
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. After deletion, your data is removed from our production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
